This class has been canceled due to lack of registrations.  If you are interested in the library rescheduling the class, please call the library at 402/564-7116 and share your name and contact information with us.  We will make a list of those interested and try again if there is enough interest.

Join us at the Columbus Community Building on September 29th, 2024 to paint a barn quilt!  Paint a quality 2-foot outdoor barn quilt that will last. We focus on the longevity of the barn quilt with our materials and techniques. We do not use wood in our process. You do not need to be an artist and you do not need a barn to hang it on-they go anywhere. Experienced artist Rose Mapel from Artistic Innovations will guide us. https://www.artisticinnovationsne.com/barn-quilt-shop

Many designs and color options to choose from the day of class.  Tips and tricks are shared to result in the least amount of touch ups.

You will need to bring yellow Delicate Frogtape (1.41 width is best and can be bought at a hardware store or Menards), an extension cord, and a hair dryer.  The most important thing is the tape is yellow Delicate Frogtape-larger or smaller sizes work too.

Because of the expense of the materials, a $50 fee will be required before registrations are considered complete. This class is usually offered for $70 per person. This fee may be paid by cash or check at the library's front desk, or mailed to Attn: Melodee Pedersen, Columbus Public Library, 2500 14th St Suite 2, Columbus, NE 68601.  The fee will be refunded for cancelations made before September 22nd at 5:00 pm only.

If there are not enough participants, the class will be canceled and your fee refunded.
