Explore Origami!

Join origami artist, author and illustrator Linda Stephen to explore origami and the possibilities of paper. Join an experienced teacher to learn step by step how to fold origami into a balloon, bird or basket. This program is designed for adults and youth (ages 12+). We will make two “medium-level” origami models as well as some easy origami. Recommend adult help for children under age 12.

BONUS: Meet author/illustrator Linda Stephen! Touch some of the handcrafted papers used for illustrations in The Day We Went to the Park picture book. Also, try out the possibilities of speaking another language – come and learn couple of words of Japanese.

About the instructor: Linda Stephen has taught origami to thousands of people ages 3 to 97. She works with cities, schools and nonprofits to create collaborative community artworks involving hundreds of people. Her art is part of public and private collections around the world. See her art in the award-winning picture book The Day We Went to the Park, available at Columbus Public Library, other libraries or wherever books are sold.
